September 2018 Israel Prayer Update
- Security
Syria and Iran defence ministers sign agreement to strengthen military and security cooperation between both countries this happened during the last week of August 2018.
This means that Iran strength and presence in war-torn Syria will continue which presents a major security threat for Israel.
Psalms 83.
Verse 5: With one mind they plot together; they form an allowance against you – the tents of edom and ishmalites, of moab and the hagrites, gebal, ammon and amalek, Philistia, with the people of tyre…even Assyria has joined them to lend strength to the descendants of lot.
Come, they say, let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more…Please pray with the Bible chapter:-
- That God will make them tumble weed, like chaff before the wind, that God would consume the enemies of Israel as fire consumes the forest, that God would pursue them with His tempest and destroy all their plans against Israel and her people.
- That the enemies of Israel will be ashamed and dismayed and cover their faces with shame as it is written in His word, Amen.
- Let it be known that God is the Lord over Israel.
- Jerusalem
There is a lot of prophetic activity going on after the USA moved her embassy to Jerusalem. We are seeing a prophetic move by other nations to move their embassies to Jerusalem in recognition of Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel and the Jewish people.
The move to Jerusalem is widely opposed by Arab nations and most if not all of Europe.
Zechariah 12:2 – The word of God says that, “I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding people reeling….on that day when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all nations.
Pray for the governments and leaders that are at this point in time under pressure and facing all types of pushing against Jerusalem. This is a crucial time in world history as many nations will fall away and stagger away from God’s order and plan regarding Jerusalem. Pray for your government that it will uphold Jerusalem as the eternal and undivided capital of Israel and the Jewish people.
- Rosh Hashnah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot (The feast of Tabernacles)
Starting the evening of September 9th 2018 the Jewish High holiday season begins otherwise known as the Hagim in Hebrew. This is a time of high festive and spiritual activity as Jewish people all over the world commemorate the Feast of Trumpets, Yom Kippur(the most sacred/holy day in the Jewish calendar) and the feast of tabernacles.
The month of Elul is coming to a close and it has been a time of repentance, reflection and projection for the coming new season of 5779. This is a great time to pray in the perfection of God’s purposes over the nation of Israel, the Jewish people and the nations. Rosh Hashnah which is Hebrew for the Jewish new year presents the start of the new Jewish civil year 5779. It also presents the start of the 7 month of the sacred Hebrew calendar known as Tishrei.
