October Prayer & News Brief Update

Israel News and Prayer Round up September and October 2020

  1. Uganda growing ties with Israel.

The covid-19 pandemic has been a great challenge travel however in October H.E. Yoweri Museveni opened up Uganda. Late October 2020, the Israeli Ambassador to Uganda H.E. Joseph Oded visited Uganda and here are some key developments to Uganda relations with Israel:

    1. Direct flights –Uganda is highly placed in inaugurating direct flights from Entebbe to Tel Aviv in Israel in 2021. This is a major leap in helping the East African nation build further cooperation, Uganda has been having the highest number of students in Israel for Agricultural studies in the Negev, recently also she got an honoury consul i.e. Israeli consular to Uganda, Ms Ishta Muganga in July 2020.
    2. Sudan – H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has been publicly acknowledged to have played a key role in the restoration of diplomatic relations between Sudan and Israel. In February 2020 at State house Entebbe, he coordinated a coming together of Sudan’s transitional government after the ouster of El Bashir which has given fruit to Sudan being removed from the list of terror funding nations by the US.

Let us thank God that Uganda which holds a painful history in Israel relations especially after the 1976 Entebbe hostage incident is writing a new history in her relations with Israel, she is leading East Africa to be a blessing to Israel.

Let us pray that God will establish every good purpose towards having Israel Uganda relations thriving in every season.

We are praying that the intention by H.E. Yoweri Museveni to establish an Embassy in Jerusalem will come to fruition. Let us pray for Godspeed and removal of any obstacles in Yeshua’s mighty name, Amen.

  1. UAE – Direct Flights Launch

In November 2020 Fly Dubai will be launching direct flights between Dubai and Tel Aviv. This is to strengthen the already established diplomatic relations and the airline will have 14 flights each week.

The United Arab Emirates signed a US-brokered deal in September to formalize relations with Israel, the first such agreement by a Gulf Arab state….They have already signed treaties on direct flights and visa-free travel, along with accords on investment protection, science and technology. (Arutz Scheva – Israeli Report)

Thanksgiving to God for His continued goodness in helping the 2 nations restore diplomatic relations.

1st Thessalonians 5:24 – Faithful is He who calls you, He will also do it – God is faithful in everything He calls us to and His work to, He will enable the two nations to fulfill His will to the end.

  1. Praying for the Peace of Jerusalem, Jewish People and the Nations

In the month of October there has been a sudden rise in terrorist attacks in France where a teacher was beheaded in Paris and 3 people stabbed in Nice. In Israel too there is great need to pray against the constant missile attacks in Gaza that happen all too often.

Let us pray for the safety of all and that God in all His majesty will crush the head of the enemy so that His people may dwell in peace.

Exodus 15:6 – Your right hand O Lord, is majestic in power, Your right hand O Lord, shatters the enemy.

Thank you for praying.
