Israel Prayer Update. 28th June 2020
Corona Virus:
Day to day life in Israel is severely affected more so the tourism industry which is a great income source for many with and without Israel. Here is the latest on the happenings around the virus:
- In his weekly address to the cabinet Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that they have been compelled to review on the re-opening decision as there has been a severe rise in infections as Israel reopened a few weeks ago. In his words he said that the government will be discuss new restrictions and take further new actions on gatherings with an aim to weaken and severe the chain of infection.
In the words of H.E Benjamin Netanyahu, “We will take action regarding health and the economy and with G-d’s help we will be victorious.”
Israeli’s numbers are 400 – 500 daily infections with the numbers set to rise in the coming weeks.
Latest casualty is a 19-year-old lady who died at Hadassah Ein Karem hospital in Jerusalem on Saturday 27th June 2020, thus far is Israel’s youngest victim to the virus.
We pray that God will help Israel and all nations through this tough transitional time and storm. We pray for the healing of the sick and comfort to those that have lost their loved ones.
Reflections.
The 7th Prime Minister of Israel, the late Yitchak Shamir’s anniversary is this week and his granddaughter Michal released a hand written note of the former PM’s guiding principles, a very inspiring write up:-
“1. Devotion to the principle of the Complete Land of Israel (without concessions or territorial compromise).
2. Expanding Jewish settlement in the Land of Israel, in all borders and areas of the land.
3. The completeness of Jerusalem.
4. Maximum development and settlement of Judea and Samaria.
5. Protecting the Golan Heights and developing it.
6. Decisive opposition to a Palestinian state in the Land of Israel.
7. Spearheading and developing mass Jewish immigration from all parts of the world - a complete Return to Zion.
8. National unity and preventing separation between the Religious and Secular.
9. Unqualified war against the Oslo Accords until their complete cancellation."
